Twin Trees operates a comprehensive
array of services and supports for people with developmental
disabilities including: community residential, home based and family
living supports in the Connellsville area of Fayette County. The homes,
being comfortable and well maintained, provide the proper environment for
normal daily living experiences. Much of the basic living
skills training is conducted by Twin Trees' professional staff within the
homes.
Having a life which is typical of the general population and includes:
being part of the community; living among family and friends but having the
option of living alone; feeling safe and secure; having a choice in life
decisions; having control over one's life; having dignity and status; and be
recognized for abilities and gifts.
Twin Trees provides the most opportunity for the individual to achieve
his/her fullest potential, and places primary emphasis upon teaching and
developing basic living skills. Services include assistance in the
activities of daily living that support a person's personal and intellectual
development, physical and personal care, recreation and socialization in the
community.

Requirements
and Admission Procedures
All individuals must be four years of age or older and
verified to have a primary diagnosis of mental retardation. Referrals are
made by the Fayette County MH/MR Program, www.faymhmr.org, although initial contacts can be made
directly through the agency.
